The elliptical dish end radius varies between the major and minor axis usually with the ratio is 2:1. The shape of this ellipsoidal head is more economical, because the height of the head is just a fraction of the diameter. Our tank head can be customized according to your needs. 10% torispherical dished ends are the most popularwhere the knuckle radius represents 10% of the diameter of the cylinder. Torispherical head is used for all kinds of tanks and pressure vessel, which is made with stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel,etc. The torispherical dished heads are cold pressed or hot-formed, seamless and stress treated, Widely used in industrial storage or pressure vessels such as storage tanks, heat exchangers, towers, reactors, boilers and separations equipment. Main Features

- Elliptical head is composed of half ellipsoid and a cylindrical straight segments. The Straight section can avoid mutation of radius of curvature between the connection welds of the head and cylinder, thus improving the stress status of the welds.
- As The Meridian curvature change of ellipsoidal part of the tank head is smooth and continuous, the stress distribute uniformly.
- Easy to punch forming compared with the hemispherical head, because the depth of ellipsoidal head is smaller than the hemispherical head. (elliptical end cap)
